KAMRYN BURNS
2026 Founding Member - Legacy Drum & Bugle Corps
We are proud to welcome Kamryn Burns as one of the Founding Members of the 2026 Legacy Drum and Bugle Corps! For Kamryn, drum corps has been more than just a performance activity, it has been a dream growing for years.
Like many young musicians, her journey began in the stands, watching a drum corps show for the first time and feeling the electricity of the activity. That inspiration only grew stronger over time as she experienced performances from incredible organizations like the Crossmen and witnessed the power of drum corps firsthand at events such as Brass at the Beach.
Moments like these left a lasting impression and helped ignite a passion that has continued to grow ever since. Now, that dream is becoming reality. Kamryn recently received her contract to march with Legacy Drum and Bugle Corps for the 2026 season, joining a group of dedicated performers helping build something special from the ground up.
Being part of Legacy means more than just performing on the field. Members become part of a team that pushes each other to grow, work hard, and create unforgettable experiences together. From long rehearsal days to performing under stadium lights, drum corps is an activity built on passion, discipline, and community.
Kamryn is already embracing that journey and the challenges that come with it. Like many performers preparing for their first season, she has begun fundraising to help cover the costs. We are incredibly excited to have Kamryn join the Legacy family and cannot wait to see her take the field in 2026.
Welcome to Legacy, Kamryn!

CORBIN WEISS
2026 Founding Member - Legacy Drum & Bugle Corps
We are proud to welcome Corbin Weiss as one of the Founding Members of the 2026 Legacy Drum and Bugle Corps!
Music has been an important part of his life since he first began playing in the 5th grade. Originally from Texas, most of his musical experience comes from orchestra, but his passion for marching music quickly grew once he discovered the activity. This season marks his first year participating in Drum Corps International (DCI), where he serves as a Drum Major, helping guide and support the ensemble both musically and as a leader.
He didn’t know DCI existed until a section leader introduced him to the corps she was marching with, Genesis. That introduction sparked his interest in the marching arts, and early in his freshman year he set his sights on marching with a World Class ensemble. Although he auditioned early, he was too young to march at the time. Even so, the experience strengthened his motivation. Now, as a junior, he is excited to finally pursue that goal and be part of the drum corps community.
For him, conducting means being an active member of the ensemble and contributing to the group’s success. Every performer plays an important role, and that shared responsibility is what makes a drum corps truly great.
Beyond performance, drum corps represents community, discipline, and enjoying the moment through music and teamwork. He is currently working to help cover the costs of the season and is excited to begin the journey ahead. He looks forward to meeting everyone and getting started at camp.
Welcome to Legacy, Corbin!

MICHAEL TRINH
2026 Founding Member - Legacy Drum & Bugle Corps
We are proud to welcome Michael Trinh as one of the Founding Members of the 2026 Legacy Drum and Bugle Corps!
Michael is beginning an exciting new chapter as he joins the Legacy family for his first season in drum corps. A freshman at Ocean Township High School in New Jersey, Michael has been building toward this moment for year, ever since discovering snare cam videos on YouTube and imagining himself performing under stadium lights. Seeing live shows only intensified that ambition, turning a distant dream into a clear goal.
His musical journey started in 7th grade, when he began playing percussion in his school’s concert band. Over the past two years, he has expanded his experience through marching band, steadily developing both his technical skills and his passion for performance. Now, he’s ready to take that next leap onto the drum corps field.
Michael brings a genuine enthusiasm and energy to the percussion section, along with a strong sense of purpose. Like many performers, he sees himself as one part of a much larger machine where every individual contribution helps drive the success of the full ensemble.
As the “Intersection” tour approaches, Michael is eager to perform, grow, and fully embrace the experience he has worked toward for so long. Legacy is gaining not just a new member, but someone who has been motivated for years to be exactly where he is now.
Welcome to Legacy, Michael!

SAM BROCKETT
2026 Founding Member - Legacy Drum & Bugle Corps
We are proud to welcome Sam Brockett as one of the Founding Members of the 2026 Legacy Drum and Bugle Corps!
Sam, a 19-year-old from Collegeville, Pennsylvania, is entering his rookie season in drum corps with a deep-rooted passion for percussion and the marching arts. Inspired by drum corps and WGI from an early age, Sam has spent years developing both his skill set and his identity as a performer.
He began his percussion journey in middle school through concert band and continued to grow throughout high school, where he performed across multiple ensembles, including wind ensemble, symphony, marching band, and indoor percussion. His experience spans several competitive circuits, including USBands, TIA, MAPS (Mid Atlantic Percussion Society), and WGI, giving him a well-rounded foundation in both indoor and outdoor performance.
During his high school career, Sam earned several notable achievements. He was part of a group that placed highly in MAPS competition and was a member of the 2023 USBands Group III Open National Championship ensemble. Individually, he earned a 3rd place finish in an I&E (Individual & Ensemble) competition and was recognized with the prestigious Semper Fidelis Award for Musical Excellence, an honor reflecting both his musicianship and dedication.
While Sam enjoys all areas of percussion, his primary focus has been on snare drum, which he has been playing and refining for the past five years. His commitment to improvement and performance ultimately led him to pursue drum corps. When the opportunity to join Legacy arose, he didn’t hesitate. Sam is excited to take the field this summer and continue growing as both a performer and musician.
Welcome to Legacy, Sam!!
